Thanksgiving Holiday Closure
The Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and remain closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26 & Friday, November 27. We will be open regular hours Saturday and Sunday.
Library Closing Early
Thursday, December 3 at 5:30 p.m.
The library will be closing early for our holiday staff celebration.
Pre-Thanksgiving Pie Sale
Saturday, November 21 at 9 a.m.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Check out the wide variety of delicious pies, holiday breads and other home-baked treats at the Pre-Thanksgiving Pie Sale in the foyer. This annual event, sponsored by the Friends of the Bedford Public Library, is usually a sellout, so be sure to come early for the best selection.
Wassail Party
Sunday, December 6 at 4 p.m.
Join us for an old-time holiday tradition
featuring entertainment & refreshments. Eat, drink and be merry with traditional wassail punch or fruit punch and sumptuous refreshments prepared by the Library staff and the Friends of the Library executive board. The Derryfield Choir will provide musical entertainment.

Sign up online for this free event. Join us on the first Friday of the month to watch a great Blu Ray movie on the big screen with stereo sound. We’ll provide snacks, too. Due to licensing restrictions we cannot publish the movie titles on our Web site. Please visit or call the library for more information. All films are rated PG-13. No one under 13 without a parent, please.

Mango Languages' online language-learning system focuses on teaching conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. Each lesson combines real-life situations and audio from native speakers. The 12 language courses currently available are: Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and ESL for Polish speakers, Spanish speakers, and Brazilian Portuguese speakers.
